Perperikon - The Sacred City of the Thracians

The region of the East Rhodope mountains is extremely interesting. The mild climate and the fat land gave shelter and live for the ancient people. One of the most important sights of the region - the sacred Thracian stone city Perperikon - is hidden here. The thousand-year-old story of this unique architectural and historical megalith complex is the task of the year long investigation of the archeological crew led by Prof. Nikolai Ovcharov. A part of the secrets are revealed, some other should be discovered, another part of them smuggles during the centuries through the fog of legends and sagas. About all of this is our documentary.
